Coke Whore

Take a girl who doesn't feel like doing Uni work, a camera, a coke bottle with said girl's name on it, a vintage coca cola shirt (free from an opshop in Auckland!), and what do you get? A c0k3 wh0r3 xo that's what.

Abused the hell out of my camera's self-timer yesterday because I may or may not have been the genius that discovered I had one and that I can take photos of myself on my own. This is the end result of the experiment. I kind of really like it! I guess it's safe to say I'm gonna have a few self-portraits from now on!

Amanda shoots bands

Keeping within the theme of celebrating kiwi music here are some amazing photos from one of my favourtite NZ band photographers Amanda Ratcliffe. If you've flipped through a copy of Rip it Up or sites such as Cheese on toast and Music.net chances are you've seen a photo shot by Amanda. I absolutely love these images and if you do to you can find more of her work at amandashootsbands.com or her facebook page here.

Coachella '12

As you all should know the music and arts festival Coachella has recently happened over in the US. It's definately one festival that I would LOVE/HAVE to go to before I die and I'm sure I'm not the only one. Thousands of people flock to the valley every year to see a star studded line up. It's also a chance to show off your most fashionable festival gear!

If you haven't seen already the number one topic surrounding Coachella this year had to be the resurrection of Tupac as a hologram performing with Snoop and Dr Dre. Is this the way of future shows? Theres already talks of bringing back MJ and Whitney Houston to sing full concerts. How epic is that?!

The above images are part of Lookbook's gallery by photographer Jeffery Tang.
Watch the hologram performance here.

The Bedroom Window Project

Im sure we've all had the thought I wonder what it would be like to wake up in a completely different place. I recently stumbled upon this project via thelma. The bedroom window project aims to collect 365 photos from around the world that share an insight of what they see outside their windows everyday. It's still in progress but once finished will be published into a book. You can view more images on their tumblr here.

Take a picture

Finally scanned some photos from my first film off my diana today and although I don't have the best images on these they did come out with some pretty cool effects. Lately I've been contemplating on whether or not to sell my camera (being a poor student in all) but I don't think I can part with it. In fact theres still some cameras I would love add to the collection, such as an Instax. Its honestly so much fun playing around with film then seeing what you end up with on your final images. I Still have a few more rolls of film to use up so hopefully I'll have a lot more interesting images to put up for another day!
