Steph's Life

Last Friday, Steph unexpectedly won a $50 bar tab. She literally jumped up and down when she checked her ticket number. Of course it also had to happen after she decides to cut down on alcohol, and on the night we were decidedly not drinking.

Oh well.

It was a good night at Static as usual with Chatchy, The Leers, and Banglade$h. Also did not expect to rage so hard at Agenda afterwards. It was a good warm up to the epicness that was Soundscape last Saturday. More on that soon!

Party like it's 1995

Happy Birthday, Dilwin! He is one of our talented friends who took the photos for our teaser issue. Of course his birthday was as awesome as himself! Theme was 1995 and people were dressed as the magic schoolbus, men in black, Ash from Pokemon, Waynes World, 90's kids (Steph and David!), and a 90's hooker (Jess).

Loved the vibe with the grungy garage and the 90's playlist. Still not over the 90's.

Cool Kids Party!

We are so excited for our launch party tonight at Static! If you're a local reading this or if you're around the Hamilton/Waikato area in NZ, feel free to come along. We're starting an online magazine and we thought, why not throw a party for it?

We've got the talented Lex and Val as an acoustic act, The Latest Fallout, local dj's Hyperkraine, Bevan Nichols, and Staylo will also be spinning some tunes. We've also got more cool things happening on the night (Clue: we're busy making them) and a $50 bar tab to giveaway too.

Also will have these "media passes" to hand out if you come see us early on.  Can you tell we're excited?

Once upon a time

Last weekend one of our dearest friends Lichelle celebrated her 21st birthday/ debut. As you could most likely tell the theme was fairy tales so each pair in the cotillion court dressed up as a Disney couple. Jess and Ericson were Giselle and Robert from Enchanted and Steph and Gino as Minnie and Mickey Mouse. Other couples inculded, Jasmine and Aladdin, Pocahontas, Lilo and Sitch, Meg and Hercules, Tinkerbell and Peter Pan, Snow White, Mulan and General lee Shang. It was definitely a fairytaled night and such an amazing way to show how grateful we all were to have someone so special such as Lichelle in our lives. The cotillion, which is basically a waltz choreographed type dance came together nicely and I'm so glad all those late Friday night practices were worth it. We even took some photos in a photobooth on the night so hopefully we'll be able to show you those soon. Another special lady had her 22nd Birthday yesterday so HAPPY BIRTHDAY again to Anglela. Us cool kids love you lots!

Anyway off to do some hard work today. Have an amazing weekend!
