Last Friday Night...

This is actually a late post but between all the assessments due, work, slow internet, and other commitments, we didn't really have time! But oh well.

Fridays are actually the busiest day for us (And that is why we rarely make it out on Fridays or Saturdays for that matter). 1. It's the day after Thursday (OMG no way? Lol) and since we usually go hard on a Thursday, Fridays are usually our "recovery" days. . . which leads us to the next point. 2. I work on Fridays and I usually close the store. So wake up early plus work = Hell. 3. We have dance practice on Friday nights! Our friend Lichelle is having a cotillion for her 21st and so for the last few weeks, we have been spending our Friday nights practicing and learning the dance for the party. It involves a lot (and I mean a lot) of spinning and even an occasional dip and lift (INTENSE!) and so apart from being hungover, tired, and overworked, I also end up spinning, dancing, being lifted, and twirling from 6:30-10:30.

At the end of the night, I'm usually so dead tired for anything else (to all the gigs, friends birthday parties, and events I said I'd go to but missed, I'm really sorry!) that I end up just going home and sleeping. It doesn't help that I work saturdays from 11-6 too! I therefore conclude that unlike Rebecca Black, Fridays do not excite me.

A few Fridays ago, though, things took a turn for the worse. Perhaps I was overwhelmed, tired, hungry, cranky, and whatever, but during practice I just started crying. I couldn't stop. I was crying all the way to Ngaruwahia. I was crying while Adele was singing about finding someone like you. I was a mess. But Steph, being the best friend that she is (AWWW) decided to step in and comfort me. So this is the result of that comforting.

Pizza, ice cream, whipped cream, chocolate, alcohol, magazines, and One Tree Hill.

Sometimes it's good to cry and let it all out. Especially with a friend. We all need a release sometimes and I guess it's good to breakdown because after that, there is no other way to go but up. Things did start to look up the next day. We went to Auckland, spent time with our blogging idol, and chopped our long locks off! More on that later!

Last Friday night, we didn't dance on table tops, but it was still fun in a fucked up depressing way!

xx
